sent my mother off to the airport with my dad yesterday afternoon. he didn't stay, but i did.

i was so tempted to eat nasi lemak (for the sambal chilli) after all the checking in was done, but decided to have fried beehoon instead because she's having a sabbatical with rice.

turns out it was micro-waved!

so much for fresh and cooked food.

anyway the conversation before she went in was something like this:

lisa: ok, you must take care ah!
mama: you remember to wear no low hip or low waist outfits ya?
lisa: okok, you take care ah!
mama: got hear what i say not? no low hip or low waist jeans!
lisa: yes yes, you take care ah!
mama: okay, you take care too, and remember no low hip or low waist jeans!

then she went in.

and i started to cry.

i hate the whole airport scenarios. ok, not hate hate. airports have a weird thing on me.
being at the arrival hall is fun, because of the shrieks, the cheers, the hugs, and the love that we can see among almost everyone.
being at the departure hall is sad, because whoever leaves, i'll cry.

just can't imagine what's going to happen when xiandan and keryn leave for melbourne, or when cheryl leaves for UOH.

came back after teaching super tired and annoyed with my students.

so glad i'm gonna be indulging in cheesecakes later.
