all i know is i'm lost without you
i'm not gonna lie
how i'm gonna strong without you
i need you by my side
if we ever said we'll never be together
in the end and we wave goodbye
don't know what i'll do
i'm lost without you

boo from china!

my entry is going to be one of the longest in my lifetime.. i promised my close ones that i'd be writing frm here so here it is!

31st oct
my day begun with a phone call at 735am in the morning! but i didn't really mind it much.

after that, it was checking through some of the things that i was going to bring. whilst doing my facial mask (yes, i do care about the black heads that seem to be appearing), i received an sms from my aunt brenda telling me to bring belachan chilli! guess they couldn't survive without chilli! and so i went, running over back to shunfu to get my maid ah mui to prepare the chilli and it was to the airport i went!

and my SQ flight was fabulous! i'd tell you, SQ is the way! in the past, we could watch all those fantastic movies, and tv and radio and games were all so cool, but this time round, movies and music was ON-DEMAND! and i was spolit for choice! movies galore, tv shows, and CDs were on demand too! I was so shocked, and overwhelmed at the same time! ashlee simpson, britney spears, jamie cullum, michael buble, jessica simpson, joss stone, CLAY AIKEN! and the food was pretty alright too. i managed to watch american's next top model, and i watched WILL & GRACE~! for movies, i chose to watch "the notebook." and the strangest thing was, i was still crying like nobody's business after the movie ended. it made me so sad, because it was movie of 2 teenagers having their first love and holding a torch for each other even after 7 years, and getting back together. Nicholas Sparks is a very good author when it comes to such stories and this movie really made me cry a lot. But later, i realized that the tears were still falling because it was what i had hoped to be having with Terence. But guess it isn't meant to be and it made me sad. Hence, the tears.

How ironic it is. to start crying when i finally have had a chance for a holiday.

Finally arrived at the airport at 10 plus, and was greeted by my cousin-in-law Paul & my mom. obviously, Paul & I talked very animated non-stop and he was telling me about how long and stretchy the roads are. and they indeed were! it was like this endless road of travelling, without stopping and it was just straight all the way!

My mom's place in Shanghai from the aiport is similar from travelling from Jurong to Changi. Stepping into the flat reminded me of.. no less than my own flat in Toa Payoh! the structure and design was very much similar. but after settling down, realized that i had to be up the next morning at 5am to prepare for my trip to Hangzhou the next day.. sigh. what a packed schedule!

1st Nov - 2nd Nov
we overslept on the 1st.
so what else is new anyway?

sigh.. we were all rushing to catch the train to hangzhou and we also begun our adventure of rowdy, selfish & self-centered Chinese. I'm honest! people were pushing their way round, nobody cared about anybody else. to get our way through everything, we'd have to be equally rowdy, selfish & self-centered ourselves! and it was so hard, because we had to make sure that everyone else was there, and at the same time worry about our belongings! and the train! my goodness, realized how protected i was when i went to Shanghai 5 years ago. the food was edible, the toilets were cleaned and we were very much sheltered! Hangzhou is a very nice and beautiful place to go, and we were very much amazed at what we saw. i wished we went to visit the yue fei museum again, because i remember seeing the sculpture and liked it quite a bit. but then again, the xi hu, "west lake" is one of the most beautiful lakes in china, so it was worthwhile.

hmm.. interesting stories? well, i'm the one with the most 'interesting' stories i think. i couldn't eat! yes, me the glutton, the pig, couldn't eat anything! my grandma was so amazed and thought i was something wrong! and blood stains apeared out of nowhere on my shirt and i almost had to pay for the stained pillow case (which i didn't even know was there)! the hotel guest tot i was having the 'you-know-what'! *grinz*

oh yes, i had macdonalds! and it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo oily! the Chinese eat all oily stuff! it was such disgusting seeing the oil gushing out from the teppanyaki chicken burger from macdonalds. i was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo grossed out! but the burger was pretty alright.. so i ate it. just that it was salty. and i was too hungry by then anyway. all the chinese dishes in Hangzhou were all BLACK, and OILY, and SALTY.

and well, we went up this mountain that was full of ice glaciers & crystals. cheeky, it's similar to the one that we went in australia remember! The one that we climbed into the caves and was so scared that xueli will get stuck there and we couldn't get out? haha.. but this is very much different, coz we took the stairs up and the railway (actually it's just some tracks) down. was quite alright i guess.

finally arrived in shanghai about 3 hours ago, and i'm now back at my mom's place after a very heartful dinner. so now i have to go, coz Bryan's gonna need to use the PC, and tomorrow we'll be engaging in shopping!

Finally!

cheerios!
